Burney's passing marks the end of an era for those of us who shoe horses for a living. Few people have made such a positive impact on a profession as he has. For those of us who were fortunate enough to have known and worked with him, he leaves us indelibly richer for the experience. We are not likely to see his kind again. Rest in peace, Burney.
