I'm just curious as to how many farriers are delving into electronic versions of books and magazines these days...  Kindle, Adobe Digital Editions, etc.

I know at least one major farrier/blacksmithing publication jumped the gun on going all-digital some years ago and wound up nowhere.

Travis, I use my computer in the field and it tethers to my IPone. If I use the Kindle, it's really for watching movies. I have not really got into the electronic books as of yet or know if any or some of our industries books are available.

I have a color nook and download paid/free books to it now and then, but I mostly use it to store research papers for study - it sure beats a 3 ring binder!

If you're running chrome, use the Google eBooks app; it's got about a dozen shoeing books on there:

Practical horseshoeing by George Fleming

Standard Blacksmithing, horseshoeing, and wagon making

A text-book of horseshoeing for horseshoers and veterinarians

Russell on Scientific horseshoeing

Russell on Scientific Horseshoeing for the different diseases of the foot

Horseshoeing by John William Adams

Hints on Horse-Shoeing: Being an exposition of the Dunbar system.....

The American Blacksmith: A Practical Journal of Blacksmithing and Wagon...

The Rasp Mounted Service School

And they're ALL FREE! It'd cost a fortune and take a week to get ahold of all those books! Now, I can do something with my phone besides looking at naked women and playing Angry Birds!
