A celebration of life has been set for Santa Clarita, Calif., farrier Brian Fitzpatrick, who passed away suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016. He was 39.

The service will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Shadow Hills Equestrian Center, 10263 La Canada Way, Shadow Hills, CA 91040.

A farrier for nearly 20 years, Fitzpatrick spent his life around horses and was well regarded by his clients.

“The horse world has lost one of the very best,” Yvette Marxer says. “He will be so deeply missed as one of the best farriers around as well as for the good friend he was to so many.”

The Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School grad shod a number of top-level horses in endurance, barrel racing, gaited breeds, hunter/jumpers, reining and Western pleasure. He also shod for numerous non-profit organizations including several riding facilities for the disabled including Heads Up, The Painted Turtle and The Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue.

A gofundme page has been established to help his wife Kirsten pay for funeral costs and everyday living expenses.
