Already experienced in the equine foot-care market, Erin Baayen is joining the American Farriers Journal and International Hoof-Care Summit advertising and marketing staff as of April 27. As Senior Account Executive, she will be working closely on marketing issues in print, electronic, trade show and other media with farrier industry suppliers across the country.

She has spent the previous 4 years as the CEO for business development with the Champagne Horseshoe Co. of Arcadia, Calif., which manufactures and distributes the highly innovative Blacksmith Buddy. Erin was involved with domestic and international marketing, sales and trade show (including the International Hoof-Care Summit) work with this product, which is the world’s first anatomically-correct farrier training device that creates an authentic trimming and shoeing experience without subjecting a live horse to the risk of injury.

Prior to this, Erin learned the farrier business from the ground up while working for 4 years at the California based Empire Farrier Supply. Earlier in her career, she gained extensive sales and marketing experience while selling over 600 homes as an agent and assistant manager for a California real estate firm.

Erin will be working out of her home in Temecula, Calif. More information and details will be coming soon, but she can be reached after April 27 at 262-402-8950 or via email at ebaayen@lesspub.com.
